Short-Term Running Goals:

Run a few marathons, some relay races.  I'd like to do a triathalon but I need to learn how to swim first. And I'd like to bike Lotaja (even though I've heard from someone that it's not a very tough ride).

Long-Term Running Goals:

In the long run, I just want to stay active and in shape so I can be a better mom and wife and stay happy. When my kids are older, I plan to dedicate more time to working out because there will actually be more time for myself (which is really hard to imagine right now.)

My eyes popped open at 4:30 this morning and for the life of me, I couldn't go back to sleep. I just layed there and watched the clock until 5:30 rolled around and then I got up. Even if I'm awake, I just can't get out of bed that early, it's not normal. It was so flipping pretty this morning. Everything was so bright with the full moon. I'm glad I got to enjoy that today. After I got the dog walked and the kids to school, I was wiped, so I crashed on the bed and got a quickie nap it. I woke up feeling much better. So now I get to do laundry, go grocery shopping, and clean the car. Super fun. I wish I was enjoying this weather from the bike gods and on my road bike this week. Life is so unfair.

My eyes popped open at 5:30 am this morning. So it was really easy to wake up to my alarm at 5:35. This switch in time is awesome. Even though the early darness is quite sad. I love those summer nights when it doesn't get dark until almost 10:00. I definitely get seasonly depression, albeit mild. Summer kicks winter's butt. My workout schedule is getting mixed up now since my girl finally got a gym membership. We're spinning more, which is what we did this morning, and running less. I would rather run outside more but I'm a pleaser and do whatever my friends want me to do. I think they both burn the same amount of calories so I guess I shouldn't care. The gym is just more boring. I had a guy instructor this morning, he was tough but I can think of a tougher guy instructor.

I ran a quick 3 miles up on the trail. It was not prepared for the warm weather this time. I had to stuff my jacket and hats and gloves. It was beautiful and I hope others were enjoying it at the same time I was. Something tells me that they were. Plus I got to sleep a lot with the time change. And it was really easy to get to church on time. What a great day. So why am I so lonely?
